Jimmie West

Jimmie West was born on March 13, 1960 in Lakeland, FL to JC and Ida West. 

He is a graduate of Manchester High School, Manchester, GA.  In 1999, Jimmie moved to Jacksonville, FL and resided there until 2025. Within the same year he decided he wanted to move closer to his family. Therefore, Jimmie moved to Savannah GA as his last place of residence. 

Jimmie was a very caring and helpful person to his family and also to others. His kindness will always be remembered. He loved to make someone laugh with his jokes.

He was also a member of the Church of Christ. He attended online services. During his years spent in Florida, he was employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sears Warehouse, Maxwell Coffee Plant and several other companies.

On Sunday , January 25, 2026, Jimmie was called to rest. Preceding him in death included his parents: JC and Ida West; 1 sister: Annie West and 2 brothers: Stacey West and Kirk West. 

His memory will be forever cherished by 2 sisters: Angelia West and Delores (Charles) Jackson, 2 brothers: James West and Rufus West, 1 sister-in-law: Vernicer West, 2 special nephews: Steven (Shante) West and Darnell West, a godsister: Regina Woodard: a godmother: Moma T , a special cousin: Kenneth Bailey and a host of great nephews, great niece and additional relatives and friends.
